WHAT WILL I LEARN?
This four day retreat with fellow passionate educators will explore all of the competitive speech and debate events, how to teach and coach them and how to build and grow your program (whether you have a dedicated class or meet with your students after school) including promotion, recruiting judges and developing your own class.

The Florida Debate Initiative offers programs approved by the Florida Department of Education that have been proven to enhance civics literacy end-of-course rates. Beyond academic outcomes, sponsoring a debate team in Florida can also provide you with a substantial supplemental income, ranging from $2k to $5k annually.
