WHAT IS THE SPEECH SQUAD?
An AWESOME, all-star team dedicated to ensuring every student and teacher in Florida has access to civics and debate education! When you join the Speech Squad, you’re not just a supporter—you’re a key player helping us build tomorrow’s leaders. We’re on a mission to create a championship roster of advocates for debate and communication skills, and we want you on our team!
WHY SHOULD I JOIN SPEECH SQUAD?
At FDI, we believe it takes a committed community to nurture future leaders. Studies show that strong communication skills increase confidence and success later in life. By joining the Speech Squad, you ensure every student has the tools to speak up, stand out, and make an impact. You’re also helping provide teachers with the necessary resources to guide these students to victory!
WHERE CAN I MEET FELLOW SPEECH SQUAD MEMBERS?
Now we’re getting to the good stuff! Speech Squad members will have chances to connect at events throughout the year, both online and in-person. From exclusive social activities and team-building events to newsletters and reports, you’ll have plenty of ways to engage. Plus, keep an eye out for our special events and challenges designed to strengthen our team spirit and raise support for debate programs statewide.
