PROGRAM SUPPORT ASSISTANT
The Program Support Assistant is a part-time, HQ-based member of the Florida Debate Initiative (FDI) team who helps lead FDI’s social entrepreneurship program and its in-house print shop, working closely with the President and the Director of Educational Programs, and provides secondary support to the broader program team.
The print shop invites high school and college students who need volunteer hours to gain hands-on, real-world work experience while helping FDI earn revenue from print jobs. Reporting to the Director of Educational Programs and working alongside FDI leadership, the Assistant helps coordinate student volunteers, supports print production and orders, and helps keep FDI’s student and educator programs running smoothly. It is a great fit for a dependable, organized self-starter who enjoys mentoring students and cares about civics, speech, and debate education across Florida.

SUPER SPEAKERS PROGRAM COORDINATOR
The Super Speakers Program Coordinator grows and supports elementary speech and debate in one of Florida’s seven regions through FDI’s Super Speakers program.
The Super Speakers Program Coordinator oversees FDI’s elementary speech and debate program within one of Florida’s seven regions. Reporting to the Director of Educational Programs, the Coordinator recruits participants and volunteers and coordinates host sites and event logistics for four regional Super Speakers events between August and May. The position plays a key role in expanding access to elementary speech and debate while fostering the next generation of confident communicators.
Throughout the event season, work is performed remotely and on-site at event locations. Coordinators are expected to maintain regular communication with the Programs Team through phone, email, and Zoom meetings to support planning, problem-solving, and program implementation. FDI engages one Coordinator in each region (seven total), with each position receiving a $4,000 annual stipend. This is a part-time, mission-driven position well suited for an educator or community leader committed to youth development and civic education.
