QUESTIONS?

Children are naturally curious.
They enjoy sharing their ideas—and many love a little friendly competition.

DEBATE TAPS INTO ALL THREE.

The same energy that can make classroom management challenging becomes an asset in debate. Students are encouraged to ask questions, think creatively, and express their ideas with confidence. With structure and encouragement, debate transforms that energy into critical thinking, collaboration, and strong communication skills.
Super Speakers is a classroom-ready and/or after-school-friendly speaking based critical-thinking program designed to help 3rd-5th grade students build confidence, organize their ideas, and communicate with clarity. Supporting Florida ELA standards for READING, WRITING, RESEARCHING AND USING INFORMATION, and ORAL PRESENTATION, the program uses a modified extemporaneous debate format with intentional scaffolding to give students a structured, approachable way to practice in an engaging and supportive environment.
Super Speakers makes it easy for schools to expand communication and literacy instruction—at no cost to the school!

SUPPORT
Teachers do not need debate experience to lead a Super Speakers team. We provide ready-to-use materials, coaching support, and financial assistance for your Super Speakers Team, your Super Speakers Coach, and your school–should you choose to host an event.
Our team supports yours! Our team includes experienced educators who are available to work directly with your Super Speakers Coach (teacher overseeing your school’s participation) via Zoom and will be available in-person for event set-up and event coordination.
No experience or content creation is needed! We provide learning activities (debate prompts, communication games, graphic organizers, grade level reference texts, etc.) designed to prepare your students for success at competition.
Funding is available! We provide built-in financial assistance to get your program up and running, including:
A $425 stipend for teachers who bring students to two competitions*

A $500 hosting stipend to the school(s) who host Saturday tournaments

A $150 / per team per tournament stipend intended to offset the cost of materials and food for the students.**
